As of 9:35 AM EST on Saturday May 18, 2013, the Factions 1.1.1 patch was completed with the following changes:

  • The price of Power TNT has been lowered to 250 civs
  • Sponge eggs, which allow you to place a sponge in enemy territory for 60 seconds, have been added to the shop for 125 civs
  • Spawners now give 8xp/minute for a maximum of 8 minutes before they must be reset
  • A system to find, eliminate, and punish duping has been implemented
  • Problems with "hit-boxes" have been ameliorated, to what extent remains to be seen, we will continue working on it regardless
  • Antispam measure have been slightly improved (tried to shy away from anything too...

Since December Vehl has been leading development on the Factions server. A few days ago, he was been removed from this position because of a growing incapability to fulfill his duties. For now, I will be taking over development and trying to repair some of the damage that was done by inaction, inattention, and incompetency. However, I will stress again that I am not returning to lead development on the Factions server. We are currently examining candidates for Vehl's replacement, and when one is selected, I will train them and they will take over.

My first act to make up for lost time is to release a patch. The New Liberty Factions 1.1.1...

Hello everybody, it has been a while since I made a non-Horde patch news thread. My goal in this is to discuss the ideas of "old New Liberty" and to elucidate our point of view, our goals, and our plans going forward.


The Dupe: First, I should make a small note on the dupe that happened last night. Minecraft development is far from perfect, and so dupes happen occasionally, despite our best efforts. How we deal with these issues is important, and frankly, this is an instance where there was significant failure.
