Possible solutions to improve raiding.

    Many issues are brought up with how raiding is not very beneficial due to how hard it is to actually do. Yeah, you can tnt cannon and creeper bomb, but obsidian does hinder progress a lot. I feel a community driven brainstorm could greatly improve the chances of finding some good suggestions for making raiding more fun and a lot more practical. (Not advanced eggs, there is already a post about that)

    I'm going to suggest right off the bat do tweak the power of faction members when they die and other things. They should lose a little more power each death. When you are attacking you don't have to worry about this as much because by the time you get re-geared and back to where you were, your power is usually already rising. Any factions defending their bases will not be able to just rush a bunch of times due to less deaths before you go negative in power.
    The power should also recharge a lot slower. If someone is at -10 power it only takes a few minutes of afking just to get back to full. That alone makes it near impossible for a raiding party to get a factions power low enough to claim the land.

  4. Thanks for redirecting me here Brvtvs, I agree with the majority of what Acceso is saying. I think it's safe to say that power regeneration is a little too quick. So I think one suggestion is to increase the length of time it takes to regenerate power, as right now you can go from -10 to 15 power with an hour. Another suggestion is to keep the regeneration time as it stands but increase the power reduction caused by a death, however, I feel that will stop some factions from wanting to PvP as much particularly if their faction power is close to their faction land.

    I agree more with barca than Acceso. Side note I think auto kicks from factions are stupid. I was autokicked while at running camp for only a week, not that I mind so much, but still an annoyance. F disbanding is fine, but not f kicking.

    Power should also go below -10. Factions will have one or two gear up and bum rush while the rest afk at full power. They continue to die but lose no more power.

    I have a great suggestion, I think power should only be able to be generated in your factions land. That way people cannot hide in spawn to regen power, they HAVE to come in their faction land. This can be their f home or another /home, but it will still make raiding better. If you are in spawn it would actually be great if you lose power sitting there, as if you were offline.

    Amazing, but the power should only go down in spawn as fast as it would offline. I don't want to afk in spawn and lose all my power just because I'm sitting at my shop. Just prevention of power gain at spawn would be a major impact.

    I am pretty sure that would be infeasible, and people would just afk to regain power in other places most likely. I really do not think area-specific power regeneration would be a solution.

    Likewise, requiring people to be specifically in their territory to regenerate power may make a raid better from the attackers point of view, it would create a huge and confusing hassle the other 99% of the time.

    I would also like that the power decrease time was increased to around 5hrs because sometimes it's annoying when u go away/not on for a while and u hav -10 power
  13. I think your suggestion is a little invalid. Factions that are inactive deserve to be raided. What you are suggesting would benefit those factions that are inactive and with the current speed that power increases you really don't need to be online for long to return your power to 15. I understand that your suggestion would be helpful to those that may go on holidays for a while, but the whole point of power is to manage these issues.

    Well few things to say. First I really hate when's not on it drops. People have things to do and can't always be on. Since its summer, people r on vacation to. Plz guys like can we NOT have this. Maybe if u died just loose. More power.
  15. Do you not see the relevance of why power has to drop when offline? Think of how many people have come through this server on a daily basis, play for a day or two then leave it or get banned. If all those people were able to keep their land we'd have nowhere to build. The server only makes you lose 3 power per day, which gives you 5 straight days to be offline before going negative. Also most factions are able to carry a missing faction member or two. Allowing power to stay as it is without going online would be worse for the server.

    Hate to say I disagree. After awhile factions r disbanded and people have lives. Although finding people's bases that have low power is fun, I just don't like it

    On a side note, usually when people have a fully obby base it causes people to exploit since there is almost no way in from the outside.

    We should get some good ideas going guys. If we can get some implemented in the game we could make PVP and raiding so much fun! Think fellow New Liberty players!

    I agree. One thing that NEEDS to be done is the power needs to increase more slowly. Also, I know this will be brought up, but I think we should stray away from advanced creeper eggs. If they broke through obsidian, it would destroy the seniority of the server. For example, domstaz and Ichamur. Like them or hate them, they have been here for a hell of a long time, and people that have that kind of weight in the community shouldn't be able to be destroyed because of one bad /tpa or if someone with an egg finds them. In short, creeper eggs are fine the way they are and we should find another medium to go about advancing PvP in the server.

    I have a good idea, but it would require the allowance of /home for all players. I think it would be a great idea to allow glitching, such as the door/boat glitches and whatnot. I used to play on a server where they were fully legal, and it was the same size as NL. It was some of the most fun PvP you could find. It was always competitive, and very unique. I know I have said this in numerous other laces on the forums, but if you are seeing me say this for the first time now, I seriously staff should think about implementing it.

    **Also** The reason why they would need to make the /home command a publicly available command is due to the fact that about half of the glitches to invade bases is rooted from the essentials' /home command. It is complicated, but it would be required. Again, I doubt it, but if staff sees this and needs more information about how this all works just send me a PM right here on the forums. But yes this would make NL my all time favorite server if this would be possible.
